Dan Brunk

Chief Executive Officer

Dan Brunk is the Chief Executive Officer of PacMar Technologies.  Dan joined the team in June 2020 following 30 years as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.  His final assignment was as the Navy Assistant to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Director. 

 

While in the Navy, Dan commanded the fast attack submarine USS HELENA (SSN 725) and was executive officer of the ballistic missile submarine USS NEVADA (SSBN 733) (Gold Crew).  He has deployed to the Western Pacific, the Northern Atlantic, the Mediterranean Sea, and completed three Strategic Ballistic Missile Submarine Deterrent Patrols.  While in command of HELENA, he led his crew in earning a Meritorious Unit Commendation for service on deployment to the Western Pacific and participated in Ice Exercise 2009 spending 30 days submerged under the Arctic ice pack. 

 

Other assignments have included: The Chief of Naval Operations Staff for Operations, Plans and Strategy; the Deputy Director of the Farragut Technical Analysis Center at the Office of Naval Intelligence, the Joint Chiefs of Staff Intelligence Directorate, the Pacific Fleet Nuclear Propulsion Examination Board, and a Company Officer at the U.S. Naval Academy.

 

Dan holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from The George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science in Control Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, and is a graduate of the Naval War College.
