What do you like about working here?
The diversity of our projects and our ability to prototype and test concepts in-house keeps the job interesting. Each day is challenging and unique.
What is your favorite quote and why?
A quote that I always come back to is: “Whether you think you can or you can’t, either way, you are right.” – Henry Ford. This quote resonates with me because it is both empowering and motivational at the same time. It provides me with that extra push I sometimes need to tackle day-to-day problems.
What are three words you would use to describe MDG?
Exciting, Talented, Persistent. There is never a dull moment at MDG, and when I look around at all of my colleagues here in Hawaii and back on the Mainland, it’s just awesome to see all of the harnessed effort people are putting forth into helping MDG succeed.
Give a brief overview of a day in your life at MDG?
I usually make a plan at the beginning of the day. Then mid-day, the plan will start to morph, then before I know it, I am still achieving my goal for the day but in a different way.
How do you define success?
The definition of success has changed for me over the years. At this stage in my life, I feel successful because I have the opportunity to work on interesting projects – with extremely talented people. My colleagues at MDG are not just smart; they are also really good people at heart. They always put their best foot forward in both their professional and personal lives. Being able to surround yourself with those types of people helps pull you forward in your own life, which is a success in my book.
